The average sale price of a single-family home in Winnebago, Boone and Ogle counties rose to $151,247 in July, marking a 4% increase from July 2019 and representing the highest average sales figure in the region in 24 years of tracking by the Rockford Area Association of Realtors.
Single-family home sales in July surged nearly 14% compared to the same month last year, the organization said.
“Strong demand for housing is driving prices higher,” Realtors Association CEO Conor Brown said in a news release. “The July numbers are proving just how resilient, just how strong, the Rockford housing market has been in the face of ongoing economic challenges, some of the most serious in decades.”
