The Mortgage Dad

The Mortgage Dad

Experience

I spent the great majority of my career with a large national bank (over 13 years). I took advantage of this time to learn and perfect my craft. A reputation for ethics and integrity had resulted in a successful career. However, something was missing.

3 years ago I was blessed with an opportunity to join a local Credit Union and put my talents into helping the Stateline community. I could tell that I was making a difference. However, it has become clear that I could do more with a broader menu of mortgage programs and the support necessary to build an amazing mortgage team.

I have always dreamed of finding that perfect place where I could teach, educate and serve the very community my family and I call home. The time has come for the next chapter of my career. I have found a perfect marriage with CrossCountry Mortgage, that allows me to fulfill these dreams with a full menu of mortgage programs so that I can help a more diverse group of borrowers along the home-ownership path.

It’s an exciting time for my family, and I am so very grateful to be sharing it with you now.

Family

Born and raised in Park Ridge IL, I moved to Rockford back in 2007. What brought me to Rockford was the idea of settling down and starting a family. In 2008 I married Monica, a Rockford native. Like me, Monica also serves the Rockford community as a teacher in the Rockford Public School District. Together we have two children; Liliana and Emma, both of whom attend Rockford Christian School.

Family is everything to me. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a nurturing and caring environment where my parents provided the best education and experiences to prepare me for life. They molded me into who I am today. Today I am blessed to be in a similar position that my parents once were. I proudly carry the baton forward and work every day to instill the same principles in my children and my family.

Passion

I come from a family history of financial institutions, most notably that of my grandfather, Omelan Pleszkewycz. Soon after immigrating to the United States, he helped found Selfreliance Ukrainian Federal Credit Union. In April of 2000, he was inducted into the Illinois credit union hall of fame.

If there is one thing that stood out about my grandfather, it was his emphatic selflessness. He taught me to live my life helping others. If I leveraged my drive and talents to help others, I would always live my best life.  I am very passionate and driven to make sure that all borrowers are not only treated with the same level of professionalism, but helped and educated along the way. So come along and be a defining moment. I’m glad to help. I am here at your service.
